I started my health journey in the opposite way most do. I was 6'3" 120lbs, basically skin and bones and struggled to put on muscle or weight of any kind. I joined the military at 17 and it was the first time someone took the time to teach me anything about fitness and health in any actual applicable way. Once I learned I could actually gain muscle I delved into learning as much as possible about working out. It wasn't until 14 years later that I got into Personal Training though. I had actually started going to school for Nursing just before COVID and realized that was not my calling for helping people with their health. It was at this point I pivoted to becoming a trainer and using my knowledge of exercise, nutrition, and behavior change to assist people in becoming healthier and more active. I have now been a trainer for about 4 years and have run my own business out of a studio and worked for a nationwide fitness and health company.
